I was almost ready to head to bed as the internet had nothing new for me to read when I remembered that I never posted my film shots from my time in Europe. I am sorting through them now and and have scheduled a few posts for the coming days.
Have a good weekend everyone!
While I was in Europe I shot six rolls of film on my old FG-20. I have just had these developed and the negatives scanned. Here are a few shots which stood out for me, I will post the rest over the next few days/week.
Oh and for you car people, I know I’ve been neglecting you, the 2011/12 D1NZ Season is just around the corner so that should give me plenty to keep you happy with!

I seem to take a lot of photos on my phone, even when I have my proper camera with me. Probably so I can do mobile uploads for Facebook and stuff like that. Its also handy for when I don’t want to have my camera around my neck like on a quad bike. Or when photos aren’t allowed in old churches. Haha.
All of these were taken on my phone during our month in Europe. Some are taken with Photosynth App (the panorama style ones). The quality isn’t the best but its a cool record of what went on.

You know a place must be good if you can ride a quad bike on the road with no helmet. I’m so pleased this is at the end of the trip, the whole island is super laid back and so relaxing. My brother and I have hired a 350cc quad bike and 125cc trail bike which you can ride on the road, and helmets are optional. We have been exploring the whole island, stopping for swims and photo ops along the way. Getting used to driving on the right sie of the road and working out who to give way to is taking a little while to get used to though.
The water is crystal clear and the weather is perfect. We have only had one day of rain out of about 25 so far. These are the good old days.

As we all know Greece is in a bit of financial trouble at the moment and that has been effecting some of its core services. During our stay here we have been informed of all taxi drivers striking with only a days notice and air traffic controllers too. Luckily this hadn’t effected us, until Tuesday. We were due to catch a ferry from Mykonos to Santorini on Wednesday, but nation-wide strikes planned for that day included the ferry staff. So we had to either cut our stay short on Mykonos and leave on Tuesday or stay an extra night and depart on Thursday. We opted to leave early and have more time on Santorini. I’m pleased we did! It is a really cool spot and we have hired quad bikes to get us around the place, more on that in the next post.
In the meantime here are a couple of shots from our only night in Mykonos, the sunsets from these islands are amazing!
